Madrid is a capital and the biggest city of Spain. Population of the city is approximately 3,2 millions people.
The city has historical centre but there are also modern skyscrapers. In the west part of historical centre is situating royal palace – Palacio Real. Spain king uses it only for representant purposes. Palacio Real is the most monumental and most prettiest building in Madrid. Near the center is the Museo del Prado, where you can see not only some Habsburg monarchs, but also a unique collection of six thousand masterpieces from all over Europe. Museo del Prado is one of the most famous museum in the world. There are some famous squares like Plaza de España or Plaza Mayor which belongs to most prettiest square in Madrid. The Madrid best known street is Gran Vía which is connecting Calle de Alcalá and Plaza de España.
The Three Kings Parade (in spanish “Los Reyes Magos”), called Cabalgata, is held every year in Madrid on Jan. 5. There are about 20 beautiful floats, filled with children and adults in nice costumes, who throw candies.
